Vinh Doquang is originally from Houston, Texas. He received a Bachelor of Arts in History and the Plan II Honors Program from the University of Texas at Austin in 2005. He worked as a teacher and K-12 educational policy analyst for 14 years before returning to the University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing and obtaining a Masters of Science in Nursing and certification as an Adult-Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist.
After working in Austin as a nurse in the long term acute care and skilled nursing settings, and then as an advanced practice provider leading a home-based geriatric, transitional and palliative care program, Vinh joined Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeons in 2023. He sees cardiothoracic, vascular, and general thoracic patients in our Austin clinic.
